What is to come . . .

So you guys have an idea of what to look forward to . . .

Last weekend, we all left to different parts of the country to visit a volunteer that works in our respective projects. I had an amazing visit and my volunteer visit was probably the highlight of my Center-based training. Unfortunately, I have not finished writing that blog entry but next time I get a chance to write, I will include it.

Tomorrow (Aug 8) we are leaving Santa Lucia for Field-based training. All PAMers are going to Moroceli (about 2 hours away) and we will be there for almost 7 weeks living with a different host family and getting more language and tech training. I dont know what kind of internet access I will have there but I promise I will write as much as possible. Take care and I hope you are all doing well! Talk to you soon!

Hi Courtney,

It was great talking with you last night! Have you thought about reading deep under heavy covers with your flashlight so the bugs/spiders won't come in??? Of course, that could get a little too warm... Are you drinking enough water? When you said there was a shortage, what does that mean???? Love you, Mom

Courtney,

Hi! Your dad passed along your blog info so I can stay up-to-date with your life in Honduras. It sounds like things are going well and your're having some great experiences. Zane and I witnessed the Peruvian version of a "rapido" bus during our trip to Peru the past 6 weeks. They're called "collectivos" in that country but the concept is the same, i.e. cram as many people into a finite space as possible. I look forward to reading more about your adventures.

Hi Courtney,
I love reading your blog, it's so interesting! I am glad to hear that you are enjoying your experiences and that you are happy with the PAM assignment. We just heard about the hurricane on the news today. We hope that you aren't in any areas near the hurricane's path! Can't wait for your next entry.
